Yo guys, my stupid cable provider is dropping mad channels for no reason. So if they really do I need a backup plan for good shit that on cable+movies if possible. I'm gonna keep internet with them, but what are your suggestions for something for Television/Movies at my apartment? I've heard a few things about The "firestick" but I dont have enough knowledge about this shit.

  https://www.sling.com/ can pick the channels you want to pay for then use something like a firestick/roku/xbox to watch with sling app
  
  For movies I just use Netflix or https://gostream.is/gomovies

  I have an amazon fire stick, what it basically does is you plug it into your tv Via HDMI cable + plug into the wall. It connects to internet wireless and has a bunch of different apps you can use to get shows. The important thing to take note is it doesn't "give" you the subscription to these services it simply allows you to run them. For example, I pay for a HULU subscription by the month and I'm able to log into it and watch tv shows on there... People who pay for HBO/Netflix etc are able to log into it as well. There are also ways on youtube to get apps that allow you to stream any movie/show free but I'm 99% sure that's pirating them from the internet. It's actually a lot cheaper to have Hulu + Netflix than to pay for cable.
